In the history of transportation there have been many innovations that revolutionized the task of traveling from one location to another. Honda began producing motor scooters around 1955 and sold them in the Japanese market until the 1960's. Their lightweight models became very popular, even more so than their European counterparts, and Honda began to gain a sizable share of the United States market. Their introduction of the Honda Aero motor scooter only strengthened their position in the market place.
